At a Luncheon on September 4, 2019; Nancy received a well-deserved award for the important role she has played in The History of Baja California. The presenter told of Nancy’s lifelong commitment of service to the needs of Mexicans with no access to health care. Nancy began this commitment nearly 50 years ago in the small village of Colonet. In the early 70’s she started flying into the Pi Pi Indian reservation and in the late 70’s she began regular trips to El Alamo. In the late 90’s Nancy and a small group of volunteers opened the first clinic here in Rosarito and she continues to this day as Director of the Flying Samaritans Rosarito Clinic.
